Our Pre-ETS training
Empowers young adults with disabilities to improve their quality of life and abilities to reach functional independence with the support of trainers, families, and the community.

Purpose of this Program
It is to provide Pre-ETS to TWSVR customers, students with disabilities between 14 – 22 years old.

A.S.I. Open Doors Pre-Employment Transition Services provide the following training:

  1. Self-Advocacy Training
  2. Career Exploration – Job Exploration Counseling
  3. Workplace Readiness Training
  4. Counseling on Post-Secondary Training Opportunities
  5. Work-Based Learning

A.S.I. Open Doors Pre-ETS Eligible:

  • Students with a disability who are potential customers for TWSVR
  • Students who meet the definition of a student with a disability
  • Students who are in an educational program such as secondary education programs, non-traditional or alternative programs, home-schooling, or post-secondary education programs.

Our Participants
Learn in ONE-ON-ONE and Group setting tactics and strategies to become INDEPENDENT effectively. Encourage each participant to become a real Self-Advocate and achieve their individual goals (i.e., post-secondary education, work, or any other personal choice).

A.S.I. Training Facilitated:

  • In-Person Training
  • Remote Training (using a computer-based training platform)
  • A combination of in-person and remote training

The A.S.I. Pre-ETS camps training are facilitated in various formats. The encrypted zoom teleconference sessions are held in a manner and location that protects the confidentiality of each participant. We also utilize the A.S.I. Open Doors Moodle https://www.asiopendoors.moodle.school platform.

A.S.I. Open Doors Pre-Employment Transition Services – We lead!

  • With the guidance of transition services, we are helping our participants to find their journey; based on their goals and needs in Education, Employment, and Independent Living.
  • Our program curriculum is filled with resources to ensure that the participants would continue to gain the valuable skills needed to succeed.
  • The training is conducted in ratios of 1:6. (one trainer – six participants).
  • The training has the flexibility and can be modified according to the Group’s cognitive level and needs.
  • The A.S.I. trainers actively listen, analyze closely, and involve our participants by empowering them to improve their communication and soft skills to enhance their employability success.
  • We encourage our participants to speak up by expressing their individuality, identifying their rights, and voicing their life choices.
  • We also advise participants to manage their health by positively transforming their lives and engaging in meaningful community inclusion with dignity and respect.
  • Participants must express motivation to increase their independence.

Note: All the trainings are 20 hours each, with the exception of Work-Based Learning that is 30 hours. However, the participant may need additional and extended time in the training on some occasions.
